UNCSA has once again been recognized among the most prestigious film schools in the country, with its School of Filmmaking ranked No. 10 in The Hollywood Reporter's 2025 list of the "Top 25 American Film Schools." This marks the fourth consecutive year that UNCSA has held a top-10 spot on the list, underscoring its continued excellence in film education and industry impact.

Art Pharmacy, a health care services company, and UNCSA, in partnership with the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts, announced today that UNCSA will become the first arts conservatory to join the Art Pharmacy network. Beginning in fall 2025, UNCSA will offer students access to Art Pharmacy's social prescription program to support their well-being.

The UNCSA Board of Trustees has elected a new slate of officers for 2025-26. Trustee Graydon Pleasants was elected chair, and trustee John Wigodsky was elected vice chair. School of Music alumna Nia Patterson (formerly Franklin) was reelected secretary. All are from Winston-Salem.
